Our Pennsylvania HIMSS Keystone Chapter is celebrating our sophomore year as a new Chapter in the Commonwealth – a result of the merger of the former Central Pennsylvania HIMSS Chapter and Western Pennsylvania HIMSS Chapter almost two years ago – with a newly combined membership of over 1,500 Pennsylvania Healthcare IT, Clinical Informatics, Medical, and Clinician professionals, and healthcare member organizations throughout Pennsylvania and our neighboring regions. On behalf of our Keystone HIMSS Executive Board of Directors, weโd like to thank our HIMSS National/International corporate leadership for this recognition, and our individual and organizational Keystone Chapter members for your on-going support!
President’s Message
Dear Keystone HIMSS Members, Partners, and Friends,
I am honored to step into the role of President of the HIMSS Keystone Chapter and to continue building on the strong foundation established by Mike Jones, Past President, Executive Board, and our valued HIMSS.
In the year ahead, our priority is connectionโcreating spaces where health system, academic, payer, and healthโtech leaders across Pennsylvania can have real conversations that move healthcare forward. Weโll focus on practical topics like advocacy, interoperability, AI in clinical workflows, cybersecurity, data governance, cancer care, and realโworld evidence, always anchored in what actually works inside our organizations.
Advocacy is and will continue to be a core focus for Keystone HIMSS. We are committed to amplifying the voice of Pennsylvaniaโs healthcare IT community, engaging with policymakers, and supporting thoughtful legislation and regulation that improve patient care, protect data, and enable innovation across the Commonwealth.
Collaboration is at the heart of our chapter. We are proud to partner withย UPMC,ย Harrisburg University of Science and Technology,ย Geisinger,ย HIMSS Delaware Valley Chapter, and our trusted sponsors as we bring together clinicians, informatics and IT leaders, registry and quality teams, and innovators from across the state. These relationships help us showcase regional success stories and support the broader digital health ecosystem in Pennsylvania.
Youโll see more emphasis on joint events, crossโchapter initiatives, and member spotlightsโhighlighting not just technology implementations, but also the everyday improvements that make care safer, more efficient, and more patientโcentered. Most importantly, we want to make it easier for you to get involved through volunteering, speaking, sponsoring, or sharing feedback on what would make Keystone HIMSS most valuable to you.
If youโre already engaged with our chapter, thank you. If youโre new to HIMSS or havenโt participated in a while, this is your invitation to jump back in. Iโd love to hear from you directly so we can shape the next year of Keystone HIMSS together.
